We have streamlined the online auction process and made it easier and more affordable
than ever, while utilizing the familiar “eBay*-type” static-timed auction model,
with optional “reserves” and “buy it now” pricing.
Here is how it works:
For Sellers, the introductory cost will be a listing fee of $49 plus 2% of whatever
the item sells for, up to $395. This listing fee allows the seller to put the item
into up to four auctions in a row, or until the item sells. The auctions themselves
last for two weeks, with end dates on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.
Bids can be placed on an item at any time during the 2 week bidding window. Any
items that have not sold (either no bids or reserve not met) at the closing of the
auction will automatically roll over to the next auction which starts on the next
day (up to 4 auctions).
Buyers will be able to place bids at any point in the two weeks. They will also
be allowed to place a maximum bid into the system (the highest amount they would
want the item for) and the system will automatically bid for them up to that amount.
All opening bids are set at $100, and the bidding increments will be $100. Bidders
will be notified if their bid has not met the reserve price, or if they have been
outbid, allowing them to increase their bid should they choose to. If they win the
item, an email will notify both them and the seller that they have won, and with
each others contact information. It will be up to the buyer and seller to then complete
the transaction (financing and shipping). There will be no buyer's fee for successful
bids. What you bid is what you pay, no hidden auction costs‡.
There are two ways to add items to the auction:
- Dealers add an item to their FRED inventory, or use an item already loaded, and
simply click the add to auction button, where they are prompted for a credit card
to cover the fees and select the auction, reserve and buy it now prices they want
to use.
- Farmers can sell their own items by clicking on the Farmer's Listings on auctionsnmore.com
and inputting the same information.
Our auctions will run continuously, with closing dates on the second and fourth
Tuesdays of the month. The next auction goes live the next day after closing. Items
are added daily, and bids are accepted at any point during the two week window,
so be sure to check back daily for the latest deals!
